Crystal Jade Palace Singapore

Orchard Road, the shopping paradise of Singapore. Where luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Channel, and trendy affordable fashion brands like Cotton On, Ruby, H&M, and Charles and Keith can be found. But before we did anything else, we had to eat and recharge ourselves.  After a long 3 and a half hour plane ride to Singapore surely made us tired and hungry. 

Our first stop was Crystal Jade Palace located at the 4^th level of Takashimaya Mall.  Yes, this is the same Crystal Jade located at Greenhillls. Not only does Crystal Jade offer fine Cantonese cuisines, but also the Teochew cuisines as well as other contemporary dishes.

 We usually have beef with broccoli for our vegetable dish. This time we had Broccoli topped with crab and crab fat sauce. This is a new way to enjoy your veggies! =)

 Their Cha siu (Asado) comes with sea weeds. For Chinese restaurants you can consider this dish as a simple appetizer. 

I've eaten several Xiao Long Baos, and so far this was one of the few Xiao Long Baos that I’ve tasted that has soup inside that doesn't have much oil. Thumbs up!

 

Of course our meal won’t be complete without Peking duck! We had a half order which is good for 3to 4 persons.  Pecking duck is cooked perfectly crispy skin wrapped in lumpia wrapper with onion, cucumber and hoisin sauce.  

 The duck’s meat is served separately. As you can see the meat is tender and juicy and comes with honey sweet sauce.  

To enjoy our sumptuous meal we the famous Yang Chow fried rice. This dish was freshly prepared that we literally have to wait and follow up our order several times. A simple yet flavorful dish really worth the wait.

We spent SDG 132.00 approximately SGD33.00/ head. Bit pricy but hey dishes here in Crystal Jade Singapore tastes a lot better than the one we have here in the Philippines plus it has a fine dining set up and a dedicated server. You really get what you pay for.
