Village Tavern - Bonifacio High Street Central

Bistro Group Philippines brought Village Tavern, an American restaurant, to Bonifacio High Street Central. It opened its doors this 2^nd quarter of the year.

Village Tavern offers a sophisticated dining experience. From the outside you’ll see the modern and classy interior of the restaurant.  That made me even more excited to eat here.

Blackened Shrimp P595

Shrimp cook with bayou cream sauce and garlic bread on the side.   We enjoyed munching on the bread with the cream sauce.  Yummy! Since my boyfriend is a member of The Bistro Circle we got this complimentary dish.

 Grilled Chicken Penne  Regular P425 to share P675

Cream based pasta mixed with caramelized onions and basil then topped with pancetta and grilled chicken.  I seldom eat cream based pasta since I get full quickly. But this dish is an exemption, I almost finished the entire dish. Definitely one of the best cream based pasta I’ve ever tasted. Really a must try!

Grilled meatloaf P595

Meatloaf drizzled with mushroom Madeira sauce with garlic mashed potato and vegetable on the side. The meat was cooked just right however it taste like my grandmother’s “giniling“. Even though I liked how it tasted, I was expecting more since we were impressed with the previous dishes.

 Tavern Mojito P150

Tavern's Mojito tasted like sprite at first sip but you’ll taste the alcohol afterwards, a very refreshing drink that complemented our meal.

Even though they just opened, they were able to offer good service and great dining experience. We were even surprised when our waitress sang “Happy Birthday” with matching free dessert since my boyfriend was celebrating his birthday.  We will definitely try their dishes again.
