Elton John has been singing for decades. Some
of his greatest hits are Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long
Time), Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, Circle
of Life, Believe and many more. This December let’s welcome “The Rocketman” as he performs at the BIG
DOME!
As a kid I became aware of his music because of the song “Can you feel the love tonight” the soundtrack
of The Lion King and “Candle
in the Wind” a tribute to
the late Diana, Princess of Wales in which he received a knighthood from HM
Queen Elizabeth II for "services to music and charitable services"
and became Sir Elton Hercules John, CBE.
Besides singing, Elton also has a great heart.
He established the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992 in the USA, and in 1993 in UK, to help people who
are suffering from HIV and HIV related illnesses around the world.
In 2007 Rocket
Man - The Definitive Hits, a single CD album
which features eighteen classic hit songs. On March 25th,
2007 Elton celebrated his 60th birthday
performing at his 60th concert at
Madison Square Garden in New York. No other
entertainer has come close to matching this record.
After five decades, Elton remained
committed to his music. This year he returned to the
recording studio with producer T Bone Burnett, and toured North, Central and
South America, before heading to Europe. His summer tour of Europe included an
unforgettable appearance at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham
Palace.
